- February 2021 – Meetings to start back up in April 2021. Follow Sunflowers & Red Feathers, the blogcast by Co-Chapter Leaders Kristina & Steffanie for support. February 14th is Valentine’s Day, read “A Valentine for Mom” short story by Annette Mennen Baldwin. TCF Boise needs volunteers to help with social media, emails and facilitating meetings.
- January 2021 – Subscribe to Sunflowers & Red Feathers to get updates on our Live Series videos, January is Birth Defects Awareness Month, email thecompassionatefriendsboise@gmail.com to vote “yes” if you want to meet in person at a Nampa location in 2021. No Boise locations are available at this time due to Covid-19.
- December 2020 – Watch our latest YouTube Live Series videos. Links are in the newsletter. December 13th, 2020 is the Annual Worldwide Candle Lighting Ceremony. You can join the local event in Boise at Parkcenter Park or light a candle at 7 pm in honor of your child.
- October & November 2020 – October was Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, November is Bereaved Siblings Month, November is Lung Cancer and Stomach Cancer Awareness Month, November 19th is Children’s Grief Awareness Day, December 13th is the Annual Worldwide Candle Lighting at 7 pm local time.
- September 2020 – September 10th is our Annual Potluck & Balloon Release. September is World Suicide Prevention Month, Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and Leukemia, Lymphoma, and Myeloma Awareness Month.
- August 2020 – August 30th is Grief Awareness Day, August 31st is International Drug Overdose Awareness Day, TCF is hosting an online Pampered Chef fundraising event until 8/15/2020, we are meeting behind the hospital – outside at the picnic benches.
- July 2020 – July is Bereaved Parents Month, Melancolie statue significance, we are meeting behind the hospital – outside at the picnic benches.
- June 2020 – Pink and Blue Fun Run from David’s Hope Pregnancy Loss Ministry is June 20th, Father’s Day is June 21st.
- March-May 2020 – We are now using Mailchimp for newsletters.
- February 2020 – How to mend a broken heart for Valentine’s Day
- January 2020 – Meeting dates for 2020: Jan 9th, Feb 13th, March 12th, April 9th, May 14th, June 11th, July 9th, August 13th, Sept 10th, Oct 8th, Nov 12th, Dec 10th.
- December 2019 – We had our Annual Holiday Potluck and decorated Christmas ornaments in remembrance of our children.
- November 2019 – December 8th is our Annual Worldwide Candle Lighting Memorial service, December 12th is our Annual Holiday Potluck – we will be decorating ornaments, and the meeting is about how to get through the upcoming holidays.
- October 2019 – October is Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Month, October 10th is Mental Health Day, October 15th is Pregnancy & Infant Loss Remembrance Day, October we did a Grief 101: Q&A meeting.
- September 2019 – September 8th was Grandparent’s Day, TCF National has chat rooms available for people in need, and we did the Balloon Release at our meeting.
- August 2019 – Our annual Balloon Release is in September, our annual Holiday Potluck is in December, August 3rd is the River of Roses Remembrance Walk, August 31st is International Overdose Awareness Day, our August meeting was about Journaling Through Your Grief.
- July 2019 – News: July is International Bereaved Parents Month, the 42nd TCF National Conference is July 19th-21st, the River of Roses Remembrance Walk is August 3rd, July meeting was making a collage about our children.
- June 2019 – News: the Pink & Blue Fun Run is June 15th, we are remembering grieving fathers on Father’s Day June 16th, June meeting was “How Father’s Grieve” lead by Brent Martindale.
- May 2019 – News: May 5th is National Bereaved Mother’s Day, Sign up for the 42nd TCF National Conference July 19th-21st, River of Roses Remembrance Walk is August 3rd, May meeting topic was “Planting the Right Seeds” lead by Chapter Leader, Steffanie Empey.
